I am (an organized) ENFP, Hear me Rawr; or, OT Bible Study Mapping

Pardon me as I assert my personality type, for a moment.  I am, in fact, an organized ENFP.

“ENFP” is one of 16 personality types born from the Myers Briggs Assessment.  (To summarize in brief, Myers Briggs itself is largely derived from Carl Jung’s psychological theories.)  You must know that ENFPs are often known for being gregarious, fun, outgoing, and somewhat haphazard when it comes to being organized.  We are known as the life of the party, not necessarily for gettin-things-done.  Certainly not for putting things on spreadsheets and such!

As I’ve spent the last three or four years starting up a small business in Fresh Green Ink, I’ve slowly by slowly found myself learning how to do things more efficiently and via (ta dah!) organized systems.  I am proud to be showing the world that ENFPs, can, in fact, get stuff done!

This morning at Jones Coffee Roasters we had a wonderful meeting of the minds for our upcoming 16 week Old Testament Bible Study through Basileia.  I’ve been wanting to help lead a study like this for a while, because in the last two years I’ve done a ton of personal study on the Hebrew concept of chesed/hesed and covenantal love.  I’m so jazzed to be helping l lead this study with such a stellar small group of leaders.

I never thought I’d say this as an ENFP, but getting things on grids and maps and excel sheets sort of excites me.

Also: I’ve learned that INTPs truly help me feel more sane.  Their rational depth of centeredness helps me slow down a bit, and not become a huge vortex of emotional crazy.  I am so grateful fo you INTPs in my life.  (I’m looking at you, Maggie, Danielle, Linnea.)
