I am very interested to hear Obama’s acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination on Thursday evening, 8/28.  As far as I’ve heard, Obama’s speech falls on  the 45th anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream.”  This is no small thing.  It is sure to be not-your-average-political-blah-blah, in my view.  Barack inspires hope, a hope of which I think Martin Luther King would have noddingly approved.

The speech starts at 18:00 Pacific time.  I will be watching it with other Pasadenians at a local city gathering, get-to-know-your-neighbors-style.

If you missed Michelle Obama’s speech, I think it’s worth your time. (And if you’re in a hurry, skip to around the 7:00 minute mark, and listen starting there.)

Not surprising. Obey designs things that are supposed to look a bit subversive, because much of their stuff is designed like street propaganda. If you click through to the Obey link you can read Obama’s thank you note.

I really like it. But I like street propaganda, in general.

I think so, too. That speech always makes me tear up. Thanks so much for that link!

    I have a dream today!”
