It took me two quarters to learn that Fuller’s campus (unofficially) extends to The Zephyr, a coffeehouse about four miles east. At Zephyr they play excellent music on the speakers. The coffee is good. They have big, cushy chairs, and interesting art on the walls. And today I realized just how lovely are their windowsills.

In Portugal I told everyone my name was Nelly. That is because “Jenelle” sounds too much like “a janela,” the Portuguese word for “the window.”  I think that linguistic fact is cute.  I want to be as transparent as a janela.

Beauty helps one study clearer.  In twenty-four hours I shall be free from finals.  Oh hooray.
