Dr. Richard Mouw is Fuller’s president. He tends to say things in public about Jesus and America that makes a great deal of intelligent sense, because they echo the gospel. He makes me proud to be a Fuller student.
George W. Bush is our nation’s president. He often says and does things that embarrass me as a US citizen. The latest: GWB wants to veto a bill that will prohibit the USA from torturing people. Dr. Mouw is using his voice on behalf of the American Christian community to urge President Bush to change his mind:
Faith leaders across America are urging President George W. Bush to stop United States-sponsored torture by signing the Intelligence Authorization Act, which prohibits the use of torture as an interrogation technique…
I sure hope President Bush gives our Dr. Mouw and other leaders a listening before he exercises his Executive-branch stamp:
